Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) is a healthcare term referring to people's daily self care activities, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toilet hygiene, and self-feeding and functional mobility.  El Roble Home Care takes care of patients who need help to accomplish ADLs.

We design our HOME CARE plans to help our patients enjoy their golden years.

HOME CARE 

​Our HOME CARE plan assists the patients in completing the activities of daily living (ADLs).  We thoughtfully design this plan for patients with dementia (caused by Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, or stroke), high blood pressure, diabetes, urinary tract infections, or other chronic diseases. 

 

Our HOME CARE services include:    

  • Bathing, dressing and grooming

  • Blood pressure measurement

  • Companionship

  • Customized Exercises for improving blood and lymphatic circulations and cognitive ability, including:

  1. Joint-rotation: shoulders-elbows-wrists-fingers

  2. Joint-rotation: hips-knees-ankles-toes

  3. Physical: strolling and stretching

  4. Cognitive: recited reading and playing puzzles that can enhance memory ability.

  5. Art crafting: stimulates the fingertips, stays creative, and relaxes with lots of laughs and fun!

  • Fall prevention

  • Grocery shopping and running Errands (limits applied)

  • Light housekeeping

  • Medication reminders 

  • Oral hygiene (e.g. brushing the patient's teeth and dentures)

  • Patient's laundry

  • Preparing nutritious meals, feeding, and preventing the patient from choking

  • Restroom and toileting assistance (e.g. cleaning bedpan)

  • Transferring (e.g. from bed to wheelchair and wheel chair to toilet) with Gait Belt

  • Walking and wheelchair assistance with Gait Belt

  • Weight measurement

Our BEDSIDE ASSISTANCE plan helps patients with limited or zero mobility recover & stay healthy.

BEDSIDE ASSISTANCE

BEDSIDE ASSISTANCE services are designed for patients with impaired or zero mobility as well as any patient who is bedriden or needs post-operative care.  

 

BEDSIDE ASSISTANCE services include all HOME CARE services with the following additional items:​

  • Ambulating and transferring the patient with Gait Belt

  • Back rub and massage 

  • Bedsore (pressure ulcers) Prevention​

  • Coordinating with the patient's Medical Team

  • Mouth care for unconscious patients

  • Vital signs measurement
